How to Pay Tax via UOB

However, how to pay tax via UOB Bank? It is pretty simple to pay tax via UOB, even only by sitting on your couch; you can pay it off as whole.

How to Paying Tax via UOB Internet Banking

In order to pay your tax easily, internet banking is what it takes. Lucky you, IRAS (Internal Revenue Authority of Singapore) have been cooperated with UOB in order to ease the citizens with UOB account to pay their tax bills using their internet banking. To pay the tax, you need to:

1. Pay Income Tax For Corporate Tax/ GST/ Withholding Tax

  1. Log in to UOB internet banking portal (https://pib.uob.com.sg)
  2. Continue by choosing Bill Payment. Select IRAS as the Billing Organisation.
  3. Enter Tax Reference Number (14-Digit Payment Slip Number under Bill Reference/ Bill Account/ Consumer Reference Number field).
  4. For Corporate Tax/ GST/ Withholding Tax payments, select IRAS-OTHERS and enter the 14-Digit Payment Slip Number.
  5. Enter the amount you wish to pay.

2. Pay Income Tax For Property Tax

  1. Log in to UOB internet banking portal
  2. Continue by choosing Bill Payment. Select IRAS as the Billing Organisation.
  3. Enter Tax Reference Number (14-Digit Payment Slip Number under Bill Reference/ Bill Account/ Consumer Reference Number field).
  4. For Property Tax payments, select IRAS-PTY TAX and enter the Property Tax Reference Number.
  5. Enter the amount you wish to pay.

3. Pay Income Tax for Individual Income Tax

  1. Log in to UOB internet banking portal
  2. Continue by choosing Bill Payment. Select IRAS as the Billing Organisation.
  3. Enter Tax Reference Number (14-Digit Payment Slip Number under Bill Reference/ Bill Account/ Consumer Reference Number field).
  4. For Individual Income Tax payments, select IRAS-INCOME TAX and enter the NRIC or FIN Number.
  5. Enter the amount you wish to pay.

How to Paying the Tax using GIRO Payment

One good thing that you can get by having UOB account is to pay your tax via GIRO payment. By setting GIRO payment, you can easily pay the tax in split amount. Hence, you can pay smaller portion each time. By doing this, the amount you pay will be paid throughout the year (similar to installment plan).

To apply for GIRO payment, you can set it yourself via internet banking. Aside from that, downloading the GIRO application form from the official website of IRAS and submitting it to the designed address is also doable. The address is written as follows.

Note that using this method takes a lot of time to prepare it. As written in the authority’s official website, it may take three weeks to process the application and approve it.
